Gardening can be hard on your hands, and traditional garden tools, while marvelously functional, often leave a lot to be desired in terms of ergonomics. The fact is, that gardening with traditional tools can be a pain, literally.
A number of companies have brought products to market to address the need for garden tools that don’t hurt your hands, and the following are a few of the products available that claim to be “ergonomic”.
Note that the term “ergonomic” is not rigorous. That is, just because a company claims that their tools are ergonomic doesn’t mean that they’ll work for you, or will not cause pain or exasperate your condition. Research your purchase thoroughly, read comments and reviews, and don’t be afraid to try several products before settling on the ones that are right for you.
